In the dimly lit corner of a fancy restaurant, We sit surrounded by film photographs, Moments frozen in time, captured on paper, Memories etched in black and white. The flickering candlelight dances on the walls, Illuminating the smiles frozen in the frame, Each photo a story waiting to be told, Each memory a treasure to behold. The waiter sets down a slice of birthday cake, With fluffy icing and sprinkles so sweet, But I push it away with a knowing smile, For the sweetness lies in the memories we keep. I won't eat the cake, but I'll savor the moment, The laughter, the love, the joy in the air, And as we raise our glasses to toast another year, I know that these moments are truly rare. Film photographs and fancy restaurants, Birthday cake left untouched, But the love that surrounds us, Is more than enough.
May your days be filled with light,
And your dreams take flight.
Embrace each moment, without any shame,
For life is but a fleeting game.
With love and hope, I end this rhyme,
Until next time;
Love Amanda.
